Abacus Works is looking for a APAC Ecosystem Lead to work on Hyperlane, the first permissionless interoperability layer.
The Hyperlane protocol is pioneering permissionless and modular interoperability. Providing developers with an API to connect between blockchains, Hyperlane is the first tool that allows anyone to add interoperability capabilities to any chain, without having to deal with any gatekeeping! In this role you will:

  • Be the primary point of contact for prospective ecosystem builders in APAC.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive market entry and expansion strategies for the region.
  • Play a key role in the developer acquisition pipeline and contribute to the broader strategy.
  • Engage with current and potential developers, whether in smart contract environments (L1, rollups, appchains, etc.) or working on applications.
  • Attend industry events, hackathons, and conferences.
  • Evangelize the Hyperlane platform and its capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement targeted campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams and keep CRM systems updated with market insights.

For this role you have or are:

  • At least 2+ years of business development experience with a strong network of builders, investors, and decision-makers in the APAC region.
  • Crypto-native or possess a developed understanding of the interoperability landscape.
  • Comfortable operating independently and navigating uncertainty.
  • Adept at identifying and pursuing opportunities that drive ecosystem growth.
  • Highly motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

Nice to have:

  • Ability to build credibility with engineers and explain technical concepts.
  • Experience working with marketing teams to inform content and creative strategies.
  • Familiarity with data and analytics to support decision-making.
